How long are platy fish pregnant for

I have a pregnant female platy fish and I'm always watching and waiting for the new pups. How long does it take to get pregnant and how often does it spawn?

Oh, also, how do I know when the fish gives birth?

Platy fish will be pregnant for 28 days and will continue to spawn every month. In addition, the number of fingerlings produced is around 20 to 50 fish per month.

There are several signs that you can tell when a platy fish gives birth. One of them is that the fish will hide.
